As we enter the lock down here in NZ, let’s think of those on the frontline who are working hard to keep us all safe #thankyou. The rest of us have been asked to stay home - look at this time as a blessing, perhaps use it to clear out some cupboards, reorganise the pantry, tidy the garden, watch some netflix, and reconnect with the people in our households. It’s been a blessing in disguise for some, being forced to stay put 😂

It feels a little strange to be doing an intro at this time, but I figured it’s now more important than ever to stay connected with each other!

It’s taken me ages to muster up the courage to do this intro - self-doubt keeps getting in the way! But it’s about time (and the right time) to show my face around here and say a quick hello to all you lovely people who I’ve had the privilege to connect with ☺️

SOL is my passion project and my much needed creative outlet. I love getting to work with so many creative individuals in the industry and getting to connect with so many people across the country! I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again, my clients have been the sweetest and kindest people to work with and it’s been a real blessing!

I’m going to share 3 things you probably didn’t know about about me-
• I grew up in sunny Hawkes Bay. I was born in Indonesia and moved here with my family when I was 4 years young 🏡
• My actual line of work/profession is as an engineer👷🏻&zwj;♀️This is why you guys mostly hear back from me after hours or get design drafts sent to you late in the evenings! I work the normal grind on weekdays 🙂
• “Decaf latte, thanks.” I love my coffee, but it affects my sleep and sleep is precious (as I’ve learned in adulthood 😆) so buh-bye caffeine on a daily basis. I have it caffeinated once in while, just not every day! My favourite coffee spots in HB are @ajuna_eatery @cupple.coffee & @workroom.coffee

Leave me an emoticon or a quick “hello” below so I don’t feel like I’m just talking to myself 😂 Through the next 4 weeks, I aim to connect with you all more via social media and online offerings (yes, a few freebies coming!) - it is so important for us to all stay socially connected while staying physically distant. Been hearing a lot of sad news lately and felt rather helpless for my couples and fellow vendors. Here is one small way I can offer to help. For the couples affected, these templates can be used to send a quick update to your guests who may have many questions for you. Of course, it’s free, just DM me which one you’d like and I will send you a high res copy 😊 alternatively they are on my stories and you can select one there!
I can only imagine how tough it would be to choose to postpone/go ahead privately, but thank you for keeping us all safe.
